If you can avoid using wall plates you should. More connections just give rise to more places a connection can fail. But in my case I have 2 amps and just one pair of speakers. So when I want to switch amps I have to switch which jack the speakers are plugged into. These are great wall plate connectors. Since I am switching I use banana plugs. The REALLY great thing about these is that the hole for the banana extends ALL the way through the plug. It is a precise fit and it held the plug VERY firmly. Perfect. Would not hesitate to recommend these. Very nice and really cheap.
