HDMI is the first uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface supported by the consumer electronics industry. HDMI can transmit digital mutli-channel audio as well as standard and high definition video formats utilizing a single cable. Because HDMI is all digital, there is no signal loss due to the digital analogue conversion process. This allows HDMI to deliver an extremely dynamic Home Theatre experience.

DVI is very similar to HDMI without the audio signal being transmitted. Like HDMI, DVI supports both standard and high-definition video signals. Both DVI and HDMI are fully backwards compatible.

The IXOS XHT408 has been designed to connect and transfer digital video and digital audio signals between a DVD or a Satellite/Cable box and the following components: AV Processor, LCD Display, Plasma, Projector and TV.

All IXOS Overture HDMI and DVI cables will pass a 1080p signal up to 7.5m. To receive 1080p on longer

length cables, please use the XHT808 or XHT708.

Ixos Defective Product Replacement Terms

Any product damaged by the user or installer will not be replaced. This includes all of the following, but not limited to:

• Connectors being ripped off the cable. With the multiple solder joints, the clamping built in to our product and the injected inner moldings we design, we find it impossible for a connector to fall off under normal use

• Cuts in the jacket

• Cables run through a wall which are not UL CL rated

• Melted jackets

• Bent connectors

• Any signs of physical abuse
