Product Description
Enjoy the power and
exquisite technology of KEF's Wireless Speaker Connectors — even if you don't
own KEF speakers. KEF has always been renowned for design integrity, and the new
Wireless Speaker Connector system is no exception. Solidly built and ultra
small, the Transmitter and Receivers will fit just about anywhere and as
unobtrusively as possible, relieving you of the headache of running speaker
cable all over the house. KEF: perfect sound, wherever you are.
First-generation
"wireless" speaker technology was ingenious — on paper. In reality,
wireless meant your speakers would not only be receiving stereo signals, they'd
be receiving interference from every appliance and electronic device in the
house. Recognizing the need for a real, high-quality wireless transmission
system, KEF wasn't prepared to rush an inferior 'me-too' product to the
marketplace — hence the measured arrival of the Wireless Speaker Connector
system. In order to achieve full-bodied audiophile sound reproduction, KEF
developed a leading edge 2.4 GHz wireless transmission technology that uses the
most advanced error protection and sophisticated 'intelligent' adaptive
frequency hopping, ensuring an interference-free signal. This makes certain that
the transmission is not affected by such things as microwave ovens, mobile or
digital cordless telephones, and wireless LAN routers, while still providing the
superior sound quality demanded by true audiophiles.
The truly beautiful
aspect of KEF's wireless system is the fact that you can have a cleanly
installed system without tearing holes in your drywall, whether you just don't
want to, or can't due to firewalls or wall material such as concrete. Now there
is no need for anyone to be concerned about lengthy speaker cables running from
the amplifier to the rear speakers or beyond. Users can locate the speakers
virtually anywhere they want to in the room — or another room if their
receiver accomodates zones — without the inconvenience associated with
traditional cabling.
Until power from your
electric company can be transmitted wirelessly, no wireless system is purely
wireless. Clear as mud? What we're saying is, KEF's Wireless Speaker Connectors
do need AC power, and will have to be plugged into an outlet. But, the rest of
the system is truly wireless and incredibly simple to set up: just connect the
Transmitter to your receiver via the included Transmitter speaker cable and the
Receivers to your speakers via speaker cable (Receiver speaker cable not
included), plug them all in via the included power cords and your set! When
power is connected, the Transmitter and Receivers automatically locate each
other, indicated by a flashing blue light that turns to a solid blue light.
