The 651R serves up the latest audio and video features your high-def home theater needs, along with the warm involving sound that Cambridge Audio is known for. This precision-built receiver includes potent, audiophile-quality amplification for seven speakers plus decoding for the superior high-resolution surround sound formats available with today's HD video sources. Uniquely, the 651R's 100 watts-per-channel rating is measured with all channels going full-tilt simultaneously. Under the most demanding conditions, the 651R comes through with spectacular, low-distortion sound that few can attain. In stereo mode, you get a beefy 140 watts per channel.
Connections for your favorite sources
HDMI inputs let you hook up your four best high-def components for easy switching. Analog-to-HDMI conversion with Anchor Bay® processing can route all of your video sources to not one but two HDMI-capable displays — like a TV and a projector. Cirrus Logic dual 32-bit DSPs ensure that every audio nuance comes through. These processors are designed to meet the mammoth digital calculating demands of today's high-res music and soundtracks.
A multitude of setup choices
The Azur 651R gives you many ways to enjoy quality sound. The back surround channels are re-assignable for use with bi-amp capable speakers. By doubling the power to this speaker type, you'll get every ounce of performance you paid for. If you would like to enjoy music in another room, simply use the two back surround channels for music while keeping the film uninterrupted in your theater room. If you've got an infrared repeater system, use the supplied second-room remote to control the receiver. And, if you have a Blu-ray player with multichannel analog output, the 651R will give it a warm welcome with 7.1-channel preamp input. Or if you already have one or more high-quality separate amplifiers, you can feed them signals via the 7.1-channel analog output.
No-nonsense British design
Cambridge Audio's London-based engineering team designed the Azur 651R according to their usual high-end standards. This receiver boasts seven discrete amplifiers powered by a toroidal transformer which maintains steady power throughout that easily copes with the fluctuating demands of movie soundtracks and music. The rock-solid, low-vibration chassis contains Cambridge's clever X-tract™ cooling systems to minimize distortion and loss of efficiency caused by overheating. A perfectly balanced combination of natural convection and forced cooling draws away heat virtually silently.

Buying a Cambridge Audio Factory Refurbished product is a great way to get "as-new" products at a considerable savings. Every product has been thoroughly tested, repaired (if necessary), cleaned and otherwise renewed to original condition. Next it’s repackaged with original accessories included. When you consider that a factory-renewed Cambridge Audio product undergoes such close scrutiny for defects and workmanship, you might actually be buying something that is in many ways better than new. And for your piece of mind and protection, your purchase is covered by a parts and labor warranty valid at any authorized Cambridge Audio repair center.
Cambridge Audio, like all electronics manufactures, receives products returned for various reasons. In 2011 consumers returned 17 billion dollars in electronics globally, of which less than 5% were found to be defective! Once a product has been opened it must be resold as refurbished and can’t be resold as new again. The history and reason why a product was returned is not provided to us, thus we can’t provide any additional details regarding its past. All products are processed by Cambridge Audio certified technicians, where they are fully tested, repaired (only if necessary), and retested again to ensure the highest quality control. Each unit must pass a complete battery of test before it can be titled a "Cambridge Audio Factory Refurbished" product.
Most units are Cosmetically in Mint Condition (graded a 9 or higher on a scale of 1-10). Very minor signs of wear (light surface scuffs or minor scratches) may be present, although most units show little or no signs of any usage. We DO NOT sell products that are cosmetically damaged (cracked displays, broken knobs, heavy scratches, or physically abused) unless noted in the description. Unfortunately, we can’t provide actual photos of each unit or pick the best one for anyone, as they are all randomly chosen from our factory sealed boxes.
