Dolby Atmos: Dolby's revolutionary Dolby Atmos technology dispenses with the channel-based surround sound coding used for decades, in favour of advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to place sounds precisely anywhere in the three-dimensional soundspace. Now you can enjoy this award-winning technology at home with the AVR-X3300W, which features the ability to connect a 5.1 surround sound speaker system and 2 additional overhead speakers or 2 additional Dolby Atmos-certified elevation speakers for the ultimate home theater experience.
DTS:X: The latest immersive surround sound system, DTS:X features similar object-based audio coding, and provides for overhead speakers to deliver a stunning surround sound experience. (DTS:X will be enabled via future firmware update: for more info, please visit www.denon.com/dtsx)
The AVR-X3300W also features Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding and other Dolby Digital and DTS audio decoding and processing. This includes both Dolby Surround and Neural:X upmixing: users with a '3D' sound speaker set-up are able to get an enhanced surround experience from conventional Dolby- or DTS-encoded content, or even music in stereo, using the full set of speakers installed in the listening room.

The all-new Denon 2016 AVR Remote App lets you control the AVR-X3300W with your smartphone or tablet: it's available for both Apple iOS and Android devices.
Denon 2016 AVR Remote
With the free "Denon 2016 AVR Remote" for iOS and Android, available from the Apple appstore, Google Play or the Amazon appstore, you can control the receiver's operation, as well as accesing its set-up menu, from a smartphone or tablet. The app also gives you quick access to the receiver's status display, option menus, Denon Blu-ray player control, and an online owner's manual for your convenience. Meanwhile the new queue management feature means you can browse and add new tracks to the playlist on the fly.
Powerful 7 Channel Discrete Amplifier with Eco Mode
Featuring high current discrete power output devices on all channels, the AVR-X3300W is rated at 105 watts per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz~20 kHz, 0.08% THD). And for compatibility with the widest range of loudspeaker models, the AVR-X3300W also has low impedance drive capability, to provide operational stability with speakers down to 4 ohms.
Denon's intelligent ECO mode adjusts power consumption according to signal level, and there's an on-screen Eco Mode display that lets you see in real time how much energy ECO mode is saving.
Dual Subwoofer Outputs
A single subwoofer can give an uneven bass response at the main listening position, with audible peaks and dips. The AVR-X3300W provides for two subwoofers: positioned in different locations, they will even out the low frequencies, for more accurate bass anywhere in the listening area. It also provides Audyssey Sub EQ HT to give individual tailoring of each subwoofer via digital signal processing.
Smart TV Connectivity
Using the HDMI CEC (consumer electronics control) functionality provided on some Smart TVs, it's possible to control Denon receivers with the TV's remote handset. Set the receiver's "HDMI control" to ON, choose the "Smart Menu" receiver control functions on the TV, and the Smart Menu home screen allows direct access to a range of receiver functions including source and surround mode, the main setup menu, and the Quick Select 'one-touch' presets.
Advanced Audyssey DSP Technologies
The AVR-X3300W features Audyssey MultEQ XT32 automatic room acoustic correction. Using the supplied measurement microphone, MultEQ XT32 analyzes each speaker's output (including the subwoofers) at up to 8 measurement locations and generates precision digital filters that optimize each channel for the correct frequency and time domain response. Audyssey Dynamic Volume smoothes out annoying jumps in volume (such as TV commercials), letting you listen at lower levels and still enjoy clear dialog, music and sound effects. Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides precision tonal tailoring for full range clarity at any listening level.
Audyssey Sub EQ HT provides individual DSP tailoring of each subwoofer in a dual subwoofer setup, for deeper bass and improved definition compared to a single subwoofer configuration.
With the AVR-X3300W it's possible to enjoy 5.1-channel surround in one room, while another 'zone' plays another source - such as CD or streaming audio. You can simply connect a pair of stereo speakers to the multi-room amplified outputs. Or, connect a separate stereo amp and speakers to the Zone 2 pre-outs, allowing full 7 channel surround sound in the main room with stereo in the second. Or connect the 2nd zone via HDMI, using the AVR-X3300W's dual HDMI outputs.
Convenient USB Port
The convenient front panel USB port provides a digital connection from music from your iPod touch, iPhone and iPad, while also charging the device. You can also connect a USB drive and listen to files from MP3 all the way up to high resolution DSD (2.8/5.6 MHz), and FLAC lossless (up to 24-bit/192-kHz).
Color Coded 4-Way Speaker Terminals
The high quality speaker terminals feature multi-way connection capability to handle a number of speaker cable terminations including banana plugs. They're also color coded for correct hook-up, with matching color-coded labels for your speaker cables supplied.
Easy To Use Quick Select Functions
Four Quick Select function buttons on the front panel and the remote control let you choose your favorite sources: each one remembers your preferred set-up and sound mode for that source, and you can even use them to store favorite Internet radio stations.
Easy to Setup, Easy to Use
The AVR-X3300W's clear, easy to understand graphical on-screen display guides you through the set-up process to ensure the correct configuration. The exclusive Setup Assistant and the included Quick Start guide together provide easy setup instructions, leading the user step by step to optimise critical settings for the best possible sound and video quality with the rest of your system.
External Control and IP Control Capabilities
Part of Denon's range of IN·Command series of custom integration friendly A/V components, the AVR-X3300W is equipped with a range of features to provide enhanced control capabilities and compatibility with 3rd party and custom integration solutions.
It can be set up and operated by a home computer on the network via IP control, either via wired LAN connection or Wi-Fi, and also features Control4 SDDP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) certification for quick and easy integration with Control4 home automation equipment. For direct connection to external home automation and control equipment, it's also equipped with an RS-232C serial port.
The AVR-X3300W also features Crestron Connected certification for quick and easy integration with Crestron home automation equipment.
For simpler integrated control set-ups, the AVR-X3300W features an IR (infrared) remote control input on the rear panel, allowing remote control compatibility with other components in your home theater system.

Buying a Denon Factory Refurbished product is a great way to get "as-new" products at a considerable savings. Every product has been thoroughly tested, repaired (if necessary), cleaned and otherwise renewed to original condition. Next it’s repackaged in a new box with all original accessories included. When you consider that a factory-renewed Denon product undergoes such close scrutiny for defects and workmanship, you might actually be buying something that is in many ways better than new. And for your piece of mind and protection, your purchase is covered by a full 1 year parts and labor warranty valid at any authorized Denon repair center (you can look-up locations online here or call 201-762-6665)
Denon, like all electronics manufactures, receives products returned for various reasons. In 2011 consumers returned 17 billion dollars in electronics globally, of which less than 5% were found to be defective! Once a product has been opened it must be resold as refurbished and can’t be resold as new again. The history and reason why a product was returned is not provided to us, thus we can’t provide any additional details regarding its past. All products are processed by Denon certified technicians, where they are fully tested, repaired (only if necessary), and retested again to ensure the highest quality control. Each unit must pass a complete battery of test before it can be titled a "Denon Factory Refurbished" product.
Most units are Cosmetically in Mint Condition (graded a 9 or higher on a scale of 1-10). Very minor signs of wear (light surface scuffs or minor scratches) may be present, although most units show little or no signs of any usage. We DO NOT sell products that are cosmetically damaged (cracked displays, broken knobs, heavy scratches, or physically abused) unless noted in the description. Unfortunately, we can’t provide actual photos of each unit or pick the best one for anyone, as they are all randomly chosen from our factory sealed boxes.
