The speaker is comprised of dual 6.5" cone woofers, a 3.25" dome midrange, and 1.25" tweeter. The result is 200W of peak power and a Hi-Fi sound that's engineered to be extremely realistic. Tonal Balance
Hear your music like never before, as the NS-2000A works to accurately reproduce specific elements of songs, such as individual instruments and vocals. In order to perfect this resolution, every driver in the NS-2000A uses a blend of ZYLON for optimized sound velocity and minimal internal dispersion, and spruce, which is used in the soundboard of their grand pianos, resulting in a faithful tone across the entire audio spectrum for a richer aural experience.
Sound Image
The sound image of your music is represented in the reproduced soundstage by the speaker, and the NS-2000A is made to make you feel like you're in the room with the artist as they play. Using various technologies to deliver delicate nuance and proper instrument and vocal placement and spacing. With Resonance Suppression (R.S.) chambers mounted on the back of the tweeter and midrange drivers, two specially shaped tubes cancel out unwanted resonance. In addition, patented Acoustic Absorber resonator tubes work to eliminate standing waves. These are used in place of conventional sound-absorbing material, which can muddy music reproduction, as these technologies work to gain the benefits of resonance control and audio fidelity.
Sound Dynamics
Utilizing laser vibrometers that are normally used in musical instrument R&D, as well as Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis in the construction of the NS-2000A, Yamaha effectively controls resonance to properly express the contrast between the stillness and motion of your music. Buying a Yamaha Factory Refurbished product is a great way to get "as-new" products at a considerable savings. Yamaha, like all electronics manufactures, receives products returned for various reasons. In 2023 consumers returned 23 billion dollars in electronics globally, of which less than 5% were found to be defective! Once a product has been opened, it must be resold as refurbished or open box and cannot be resold as new again. The history and reason why a product was returned is not provided to us, thus we cannot provide any additional details regarding its past. All products are processed by Yamaha certified technicians, where they are fully tested, repaired (only if necessary), and retested again to ensure the highest quality control. Each unit must pass a complete battery of test before it can be titled a "Yamaha Factory Refurbished" product.
Most (not all) units are cosmetically in Mint Condition (graded a 9 or higher on a scale of 1-10). Very minor signs of wear (light surface scuffs or minor scratches) may be present, although most units show little or no signs of any usage. We DO NOT sell products that are cosmetically damaged (cracked displays, broken knobs, heavy scratches, or physically abused) unless noted in the description. Unfortunately, we cannot provide actual photos of each unit or pick the best one for anyone, as they are all randomly chosen from our factory sealed boxes.
